Frequently Asked Questions

Is a jack included with the Jack Bracket Kit?

A jack is not included. The kit is designed to work with the factory jack already on your trailer: the male jack bracket bolts to that jack, and the receivers give it a secure place to sit at the tongue and beside each wheel.

What comes in the kit?

The kit includes two axle receiver brackets, one tongue receiver bracket, and one male jack bracket, along with four 1 1/2 by 3/8 inch bolts, four 3 by 3/8 inch bolts, eight serrated flanged 3/8 inch nuts, and four 3/8 inch flat washers.

What kind of trailer is it made for?

The Jack Bracket is designed for single-axle trailers, including boat trailers. With only one wheel on each side, a single-axle trailer has nothing else to carry that side while a tire is off, so the jack supports the full load until the spare is on.

Does it replace my tongue jack?

Your jack stays on the trailer and rides in the tongue receiver for towing, hitching, and unhitching, just as it does now. When a tire goes flat, you move that same jack into the axle receiver beside the wheel you need to change.

Why not set the jack under the frame without the bracket?

A loose jack set under a trailer can shift or tip over as it takes the weight, especially on uneven or loose ground such as a gravel shoulder. Seated in the Jack Bracket receiver, the jack stays in place while you lift the trailer, change the tire, and lower it again.

Where is the Jack Bracket made?

Jack Bracket is a trailer accessory manufacturer in Cabool, Missouri, and every kit is made in America.

Can I buy U bolts separately?

U Bolts are sold separately as a set of two for $20.00.
